The women from the Brasil northeastern hinterland in the 19th century.The article shows how in the semi-arid hinterland women lived in the 1800s. White, rich or poor, or slaves, born there by a high degree of birth, following standards of high social hierarchy and patriarchy. The historiographical methodology employed in the work-involved inventories, news from newspapers, consultation with public archives. The analytical result of the research arrived that clothes, jewelry, slave ownership, life habits, activities, illiteracy, escapes to get married, marked that society where miscegenation was very strong, whether through concubinage, or others patterns of behavior where farmers, judge, and priests maintained two to three families.
